Went for a wee climb in the Blue Mountains 2 hours west of Sydney. A very nice day out. All the photos can be found here.

Wow another year over. Happy New Year to you all. A group of friends and I stood on Anzac Bridge and watched the Sydney New years fireworks.
Someone put out an old couch on the side walk, so some passers by put it on top of a car, as you do when you see a couch.

Why did I go to see this movie? Well last year (10/2005) I went to the Palace of Versailles. This building is stunning so I thought it would be interesting to see what it may have looked like through the eyes of an American movie with all the costumes and opulence. It is slow and gets a bit artsy at the end. The story could have been more gritty, cutting from the French royalty to its people. Sound track was ho hum (in places just plain bad). Kirsten Dunst did very well but is just a little too cute. Five stars from me. * * * * * * * * * *

Mother called this morning with the news that my Grandfather (Mums side) had passed away in the night. He made it to 90 years of age.

Well it’s cold, very cold today. Something about snow and the winds, the coldest day for November in the last 100 years. This is a sunset for Monday

As you can see there hasn’t been a post for the last few days. Thats because I’ve been in Melbourne. It was the horse race that stops a nation week. So the town had a nice vibe about it.
